Oster Beehive Blender Replacement Parts

In a world of increasing complexity, there is a niche for simple appliances which get the basic job done.

The Beehive range of blenders from Oster is an example. A characteristic beehive shaped base housing the motor gives these models the name. The specifications are quite similar for all the models in the beehive range – 2 speed, 450 or 500 watts motor, 5 or 6 cup glass jar. As noted in an earlier post, almost all Oster components such as the jars, blades and seals, fit almost all the models. Replacement Parts for Osterizer Classic Beehive 4093 and 4094 Models

These are the older beehive models with a square 5 cup glass jar. However, the base dimensions are the same in almost all beehive models. So the newer round jars will also match these blenders.

Rubber coupling located below OS-070 square drive pin. This is the rubber coupling located below the square drive. It has two threaded holes and connects the motor to the square drive. Basically, unplug blender, unscrew plate at base, remove plate and unscrew motor, unscrew old ripped drive coupling, screw new one in along with square drive pin from old coupler, and reassemble in reverse order

These Contemporary Classic Beehive models have a round 5 cup glass jar. However, the base dimensions are the same in almost all beehive models. Ninja Kitchen Systems have released many blender models with the Auto IQ technology which offer pre-programmed settings for different common blending and food processing tasks.

These include the basic BL480 Series, the Compact BL490 Series, Blender System BL680 Series, Duo BL640 Series, Nutribowl Duo NN Series and Blendmax Duo Series. Most replacement parts and accessories such as pitchers, lids, jars and blades are easily available for most models. However, selecting the correct part for your Nutri Ninja Auto IQ blender cannot be done in auto-iq mode :-(. The reason is, there are some minor difference in dimensions and design between the different models. So you have to know the correct model no. of your blender and look for the matching replacement parts. Oster In2itive Blender Replacement Parts

Oster, one of the earliest and well established blender manufacturers, have many popular and successfull blender models to their credit.

Unfortunately, the In2itive range of blenders is not one that Oster and their customers would be happy about. Which is a shame, because in concept and design, these are wonderful, elegant, convenient and futuristic. Featuring One-touch operation , Pre-programmed cycles to prepare food and drinks, progress indicator, the blender turns off and beeps when finished. The hitch, though, is in the implementation of the design, which has resulted in a number of problems such as leakages from the jars, clips on the bottom of the skirt snapping off, motor locking up, black oil, broken toret wheel. The blade enclosure/sealing mechanism is cheap plastic. The locking indents wear real fast, so the sealing ring doesn’t seal, and leaks. Due to the high rate of failure, Oster have stopped production of the In2itive range of blenders and unfortunately, parts for these models are not easily available. Even more unfortunately, in a break from their long tradition, Oster changed the dimensions of the jar and seal and put a skirt in place of the bottom seal. So, Oster replacement jars, seals and other parts, which fit into practically all the other 100 odd Oster models, are not suitable for the In2itive models. The few parts, specific to Oster In2itive Blenders, which continue to be available are listed below

An oster blender jar set contains, apart from the glass jar, a cover or lid with a filler cap; a blade assembly, a sealing ring and a jar bottom. The Heat seal strip is a crucial barrier between the heating element and the bag in your heat sealer machine. Old tape causes poor sealing and can lead to a broken heating element and a broken sealer. These Strips should be replaced when they appear warn, discolored or if sealing isn”t perfect. If the only problem you are having with your vacuum sealer is the heat strip is not sealing completely, and will not maintain the vacuum created, then you should try replacing the heat strip.
